HLT33015 Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance
This course will prepare you for a job as an allied health professional. You will gain the skills and knowledge you need to support doctors, nurses and other health professionals. The Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance equips you with a solid understanding of how to assist with allied health programming, how to interpret basic medical terminology and how to comply with infection prevention and control policies.
You will also learn how to communicate effectively with both professionals and patients. This nationally recognised qualification enables students to work in entry-level positions across a wide range of positions in the health sector such as patient care assistant, nursing assistant and more.
MODE OF STUDY
This course has a combined nominal duration of 457 hours. This is undertaken as a combination of class based delivery, independent learning tasks, research, assignments and practical placement.
Assessment is provided in a standard format by using a variety of methods including observation, question and answer, case studies, role plays and practical placement experiences..
