CHC20215 Certificate II in Community Services
This course aims to enhance student’s employment prospects or further education opportunities within a broad range of community service related industries. A career in community services is rewarding and this course aims to introduce the student to the field of community services.
It gives the student the skills and knowledge to provide assistance and support to clients accessing a service, assisting clients to meet their immediate needs and to develop relationships to assist clients in a crisis situation.
Students will develop skills in communication, information provision and processing, administration support, networking and group support.
MODE OF STUDY
This course has a combined nominal duration of 330 hours. This is undertaken as a combination of class based delivery and independent learning tasks.
Assessment is provided in a standard format by using a variety of methods including observation, question and answer, case studies, role plays and practical placement experiences.
All candidates are expected to complete a pre-training review prior to enrolment. This review ensures that the delivery and assessment plan is designed to meet your individual needs. This will be assessed by a trainer to ascertain your suitability for this qualification. Your Eligibility and pathway choices will also be discussed.
