The Certificate I in Work Education is designed for a range of learners with a disability / disabilities or with significant evidence of a disability or special learning needs which impact on their learning. The main focus is to enable learners to find the most appropriate option for them in the workforce and community after leaving school or entering the workforce.
Entry to the Certificate I in Work Education is restricted to post compulsory school age learners with evidence of a permanent
cognitive impairment/intellectual disability which may be accompanied by additional conditions. Permanent cognitive
impairment/intellectual disability must be evidenced which may include formal assessment by a registered medical practitioner, doctors/specialist reports, attendance at a Special School/SDS,
integration support at school or Integration support at school with
MODE OF STUDY / COURSE DURATION
This course has a combined nominal duration of 546 hours. This is undertaken as a combination of class based delivery and Work Placement and is delivered over 1 day a week.

Once your suitability for this qualification has been ascertained you will complete the enrolment process. You will also be given a student handbook.
Assessment is provided in a standard format by using a variety of methods including observation, question and answer, portfolio of evidence, role plays and more.
Subsidised non-concession places available for persons looking to up-skill to a higher qualification.
