Options and Connections
Encompass Options and Connections provide life skills programs for young people who have a disability and for those experiencing learning and social difficulties. Our programs include Life Skills, Independent Living, and Farming It Programs. Our programs cater for all people with disabilities with various levels of independence and support needs.
Our Life Skills Programs also offers leisure and recreation opportunities through interactive sessions. Numeracy and literacy are offered as accredited courses. At Encompass Options and Connections we work in partnership with the participant and their family/carer to design a individual plan that suit the partipants needs. Planning with the participant, not for them, considering what is important to them and how they picture a good future. Encompass Options and Connections can provide individuals additional case management and 1:1 or 1:2 support. Programs do not have to be designed around a 5 day a week program, nor do they have to be between 9am-3pm. An Individual Plan will be created to set goals to be achieved. This plan clarifies each individuals goals and map how the program can assist them to attain their goals. Sessions are offered within our timetable based on interest from participants, families and carers.
Farming It provides an option of practical skills training which can lead to employment or further education within industries such as horticulture, building and asset maintenance, cleaning and other labour trades.
