A: We are the oldest Disability Employment Service provider in Geelong. Therefore our experience is our strength. Encompass Inc and Geelong Employment Agency. are able to provide you with an all in one service for your employment needs.
Q: Is it expensive?
A: The courses that we offer are subsidised by the government however we do have courses that we offer as fee for service which means a fee can be incurred. This is always kept to a minimum and Health Care Card holders usually receive a discount.
Q: What are the benefits of doing training with Encompass Inc?
A:Most courses run by Encompass Inc. are Nationally Accredited which means the qualification or level of competency you achieve is recognised across Australia.

Encompass Inc. is a welcoming, friendly place where you will feel comfortable to participate in training and to move at your pace. Encompass Inc. offer its students one on one training as well as group assessments. It is a relaxed environment where Adult Learning is the focus.
Q: What happens if I don't pass the course?
A: We offer competency based training which means that there is no pass or fail. In the instance that you are deemed NOT YET COMPETENT you have the opportunity to return the next time the course is offered and you can complete the modules you were not competent in.
Q: Are there any other fees involved in OSaaT?
A: The majority of fees are covered by the Department of Human Services (Futures for Young Adults funding) or the Department of Education and Training (fee for service). Certain program aspects such as Let's Eat, Fitness, Art and excursions do incur a cost to the individual.
Q: How old do you have to be to access One Step at a Time?
A: OSaaT is designed for participants 16 years and older.
Q: Is there transport provided to the Leopold venue?
A: Yes. Transport is provided from a meeting place in town and from our 400 Pakington Street venue.
Q: When does the OSaaT Program operate?
A: The OSaaT program runs from 9am - 3.15pm, 5 days a week during the school term. Participants can choose which days and times they attend.
Q: Where can I get funding to attend?
A: Participants aged over 18 years can contact the Department of Human Services and find out whether they are eligible to apply for Futures For Young Adults funding. Contact the Disability Services Intake division on 1800 738 738.
Participants younger than 18 years of age can speak to their Integration Coordinator at school and discuss the possibility of a fee-for-service arrangement then contact the OSaaT Coordinator or Operations Manager at GEA Inc. to discuss costs.
Q: How is Encompass Inc. funded to run its programs and services?
A: Programs and services are funded by various State and Federal Government Departments such as DHS and DEWR. Revenue from fundraising and Small Business Operations is also directed into programs and services.
Q: Where is the Encompass Inc. Head Office?
A: Encompass Inc. has five locations. Head Office, 400 Pakington St, is located at the river end of Pakington St next door to the historical Sladen House.

A: Through regular fortnightly contact with your Employment Consultant.
Q: Do I need to contact Centrelink if I am working?
A: Yes, you must notify centrelink with your gross fortnightly earnings.
