About Us
Encompass
Community Services Inc. (Encompass) is a diverse organisation
that assists people with disabilities and others who may be
disadvantaged in our community, but what does that mean? How do
we actually do it?
- Our programs and services have been developed from what the clients and their families really want.
Since
inception in 1985, we have listened to individuals' needs and goals
and set out to assist them in achieving these with a no fuss, realistic
approach.
- Over 50% of our staff members have a disability.
How can we promote the benefits of employing a person with a disability if
we don’t create those opportunities ourselves? We walk the walk
so we can talk the talk.
- We evolve and continually adapt to change.
At Encompass growth and change are good but losing sight of
our core values is not. We are small enough to absorb change AND
continue a dedicated, personalised and friendly service to our clients.
- We think big.
There are no limits to how we can provide assistance and support to
individuals. Initiative and imagination is nurtured across the
organisation; from our Board Members to our staff and volunteers, all
ideas are welcomed.
“As soon as I walked into Encompass I knew I was in
the right place for me. I met some of the staff and they
instantly made me feel comfortable – almost like I was part of the
furniture.” Anonymous
